The Designer will be responsible for ensuring strategy comes to life through beautiful creative that is in line with the client's brand promptly. They are an integral part of our Red Bicycle team and will be required to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Your main hustle...

While working with Red Bicycle, your focus will be all about creativity  

  • Design beautiful and brilliant creative while keeping on-brand with each individual client

  • Be an active/proactive participant in defining and executing ideas across all media – online and offline

  • Able to meet daily project challenges with enthusiasm while also researching and proposing new approaches (refining techniques, taking advantage of new tech opportunities)

  • Multitask and prioritize workload with quick turnarounds

  • Assist with the preparation of estimates and budgets, and provide progress reports to your immediate supervisor

  • Work directly with our account services team in finding client-focused solutions

  • Support the Red Bicycle team with various projects as needed

While the position outlined above will be the focus of your time here, we are a boutique agency and as such a variety of responsibilities will fall to you. A team player with a positive can-do attitude is essential as you will be required to step into all roles as required to assist as needed in the success of Red Bicycle. Other responsibilities may include general administration, event assistance, office work and providing assistance to the management team.

The things you need...
  • Completed University degree in graphic design, visual arts, visual communication, or similar is preferred, although a college diploma in graphic design will be considered

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; mainly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

  • Technical experience with print production and materials considered an asset

  • Knowledge in and experience with colour theory, typography, illustration, and similar

  • A keen eye for photocomposition, image styling, and selecting/creating images to match brands will be required

  • WordPress and similar website backend experience would be considered an asset

  • Other programs we use include Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more, Microsoft Teams, Mailchimp, Issue, and more.

  • Exceptional organization skills

  • Strong ability to multitask and manage several concurrent projects within the given timeline

  • Astute attention to detail and ability to think outside the box

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and senior leaders

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of polish and professionalism

  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude

  • 2-5 years of experience with priority given to agency experience, project management experience, and similar.

  • Ability to work evening and weekends as required
